Our Evaluation Criteria

How did we compile the list in the previous table? We started, of course, with years of experience testing and evaluating a wide variety of business tools. From here, we consulted the official documentation of each CRM, tested their free and paid plans in real-world environments, and gathered feedback from users who utilize them daily.

We have valued the ease of use and also the onboarding, which is key when we don’t want to waste time configuring the tools. We also analyzed whether the CRM provides us with real business value, specifically whether it improves efficiency, helps close more sales, and enables us to grow without the need to migrate to another platform.

The relationship between price and features has been another essential factor in this ranking, especially because we are comparing quite similar alternatives. To validate our conclusions, we interviewed marketing professionals, sales consultants, and automation experts to gather their perspectives and present information supported by a comprehensive vision from all angles.

Other perspectives: AI, data quality, and sustainable growth

AI is advancing at an incredible speed towards a deep understanding of a candidate’s skills, potential, and cultural affinity, thereby multiplying the value of a CRM for mass hiring by providing us with clean data from the start.

In this sense, thanks to AI, we are seeing a convergence between HR CRMs and more generalist platforms, such as HubSpot, Salesforce CRM, and Pipedrive, which are moving towards offering common analytics for both talent and business.

And what about other tools?

In our previous research, we have thoroughly tested and investigated Avature, SmartRecruiters, Manatal, iCIMS, Loxo, Recruit CRM, JobAdder, Breezy HR, Recruiterflow, Crelate, Mitratech Trakstar, Humanly, Recruitly, Gem, Nimble, and Act!, among others.

Additionally, we have also considered HubSpot, Salesforce, and Pipedrive as the best CRM software for mixed scenarios, with variable results. Online searches for the best CRM for hiring and the best CRM for HR confirm, in addition to our previous conclusions, that neither generalist platforms nor many dedicated solutions reach the level of excellence of the seven options we have analyzed.

Which option to choose?

What is the best CRM for human resources and mass hiring for our company?

Bullhorn, Zoho Recruit, Greenhouse, Lever, Loxo, Breezy HR, and Workable cover complementary and quite different scenarios when it comes to a CRM for hiring. Zoho Recruit stands out for balance, Bullhorn leads in staffing, Greenhouse brings rigor and DEI, Lever drives nurturing, Loxo focuses on sourcing and outreach, Breezy HR simplifies adoption, and Workable fills the funnel.

The most practical path to follow from here is to conduct a controlled trial of the two tools that, based on the information we have presented, best fit our projects. From there, we can make a final decision knowing we will choose the best CRM for human resources for our company. In a few weeks, we will realize how mass hiring gains precision when the system works in our favor.
